How do I choose a hot tub?
Choosing a hot tub is straightforward, and usually involves weighing factors such as preferred aesthetic, available space and the number of people who will regularly use it. Before placing a hot tub on a terrace or mezzanine, ensure the structure can support the weight.
Is it costly to run a hot tub?
The hot tub has a maximum power consumption of 6.1 kW if all functions are in use, but you can easily adjust this setting on the control panel by disabling unnecessary functions. Read the technical data sheets thoroughly.
What preparations are necessary before installation begins?
Before installing your hot tub, ensure compliance with local regulations, which require an electrical-free zone of minimum 60 cm around your hot tub and a clearance of 230 cm above. Free-standing hot tubs require a reinforced concrete platform or base that is at least 10 cm thick, perfectly level and strong enough to support the hot tub and its users. For added safety, it is recommended that you install non-slip paving around the hot tub. All electrical connections must be performed by qualified electricians. Refer to the technical data sheet for details. Please ensure the drain matches the measurements provided in the technical data sheet.
What is the difference between ozone and bromine disinfection methods?
Ozone is an effective sanitising agent that cleans water and kills algae. However, it’s not a standalone solution and needs to be combined with chlorine or bromine for complete sanitation. Bromine is a highly effective chemical compound that inhibits the growth of bacteria, viruses, fungi and algae, which easily proliferate in hot and humid environments. Its effectiveness is not compromised by rising pH levels or temperature. As an added benefit, unlike chlorine, it is less aggressive chemically and does not cause skin irritation. In contrast to chlorine, which evaporates at high temperatures and releases harmful chloramines, bromine is more stable and does not evaporate at high temperatures.
Is the hot tub suitable for built-in or fully recessed installation?
Our hot tubs offer flexible installation options: they can be fully recessed into the ground, or incorporated into a structure, in which case they require an access panel for inspection around the perimeter. A preliminary inspection by a technician, ideally from one of our service centres, is advisable.
Is it possible to install the hot tub on a terrace or mezzanine?
Absolutely, provided the floor can safely bear the weight. Please refer to the technical data sheet for the exact load capacity (kg/m2) of your hot tub model.
Is the hot tub suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation?
Both options are possible. For indoor installations, be aware of potential humidity issues that can arise from water evaporation. Choose a location with ample ventilation, or implement effective dehumidification measures. Explore our full range of hot tubs.
Is a thermal cover necessary for my hot tub?
Yes, a thermal cover is crucial for the hot tub. It helps to prevent airborne impurities, insects, and leaves from entering, while also significantly maintaining a consistent water temperature.
Who will install my hot tub?
Installation must be performed by qualified personnel. We recommend contacting your local service centre, which can also provide initial setup and ensure proper operation. If our service centre installs your hot tub, the warranty is extended by 12 months (36 months instead of 24).
Why choose a Disenia service centre for installation?
Our technicians are qualified and trained on correct installation of the product, ensuring fewer possible issues. This leads to an improved installation process, satisfied customers, and a 36-month warranty instead of 24.
I lost my installation, user guide and maintenance instructions booklet. Who can I contact?
All manuals, including the technical data sheets, are available for download on our website.
How do I fill the hot tub with water?
To fill the hot tub, use the solenoid valve that functions as both a water inlet and outlet. This valve can be controlled via the control panel.
How does a hot tub work?
The hot tub features a dual-system hydromassage, which consists of a WHIRLPOOL system that emits water jets combined with air jets, and an AIRPOOL system, which features air jets coming from valves positioned at the bottom of the tub. The WHIRLPOOL system is connected to an electrical pump, which draws water into the pipes and forces it through the whirlpool jets, where it mixes with air. Which means, in summary, the whirlpool system operates by continuously recirculating water through the pump. In contrast, the AIRPOOL system uses only air, needing just one pump (blower).
What is the process for starting the hot tub?
The hot tub is started via the water-resistant digital control panel. You can set various functions, including the type of hydromassage (Whirlpool, Airpool, or both), water temperature, chromotherapy, filtration, silent night mode, and water filling/draining.
What is the recommended procedure to clean the hot tub?
Using detergents specifically designed for hot tubs is essential, as general household cleaners can cause foaming and PH issues. It is possible to purchase them from your local retailer or service centre.
What is the recommended procedure to clean the filters?
The filters can be easily removed for simple cleaning and maintenance. It is recommended that you clean them weekly under running water and use a specific descaling product every 15 to 20 days to prevent mineral build-up.
What is the recommended water treatment procedure?
Maintenance is straightforward, with just a few specific products.
How frequently should I drain my hot tub?
Regular maintenance, including proper chemical treatment, is essential for keeping hot tub water clean and safe. With proper care, it is possible to keep the same water in domestic hot tubs for up to five months.
What materials are the shower columns made of?
Disenia shower columns are made of 316 stainless steel, a material known for its longevity. The Grecale model is also available with a painted finish.
Does the lacquered finish on the Grecale shower column resist outdoor weathering?
We use outdoor paints that form a thin, durable film that resists both atmospheric and chemical elements.
Are the shower columns suitable for any type of environment?
Absolutely! Our shower columns are resistant to sea salt and sand, making them ideal even for marine placements.
What are the main features of the shower columns?
Their exclusive design incorporates three recessed spray holes, replacing traditional rubber nozzles for improved water flow, complete with water-saving cartridges. Both shower columns feature a bathrobe hook and shelf.
What is the water flow rate of the shower columns?
The shower columns comply with the European Green and Sustainable Plus standard, which sets a maximum water flow of 9 litres per minute. Both the Grecale and Libeccio models feature a water flow rate of 3 litres/min per spray hole, totalling 9 litres/min overall.
How are the shower columns installed?
They can either be installed in combination with the Baia shower tray (available in three sizes: 120×80×3cm, 120×90×3cm and 120×120×3cm), or directly on the floor.
